Union arrive in Campoamor

1. FC Union Berlin have arrived at the winter training camp for the 2022/23 season. For the team, the first day consisted of arriving and a warm-up run.

1. FC Union Berlin has arrived at the winter training camp for the 2022/23 season. For the team, the first day consisted of arriving and a warm-up run.

At 8 a.m., the players and the team of coaches and support staff took off from stadium An der Alten Försterei towards BER Airport. From there, the plane set course for Spain's seventh-largest city, Murcia, which was reached after a three-hour flight. After a one-hour bus ride to the final destination Campoamor, the Köpenickers arrived at the "Hotel Golf Campoamor" at around 2:30 pm.

A total of 29 players made their way to Spain, including the three youth players Yannic Stein, Mathis Bruns and Aljoscha Kemlein. Not with the team is Morten Thorsby. The midfielder will undergo a surgical procedure this week and will rejoin the team after the training camp. 

For the players, a relaxed running session was on the agenda in the afternoon before the day is to end with dinner together. Tomorrow Union will start the ten-day training camp in full with two training session at 10.30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
