Men’s Captains and Team Council Announced

A few days before the first competitive match of the 2024/25 season, 1. FC Union Berlin have announced the captains and team council for the men’s Bundesliga squad. While the captaincy remains unchanged, there is a new addition to the team council.
Captains
Christopher Trimmel remains the first captain of Union and will lead the team onto the pitch wearing the armband for the seventh year in a row. As in previous years, Rani Khedira will act as his first deputy on and off the pitch.
Team council
In addition to the captains, Frederik Rönnow, Danilho Doekhi, Jérôme Roussillon and Paul Jaeckel complete the team council this season. This is the first nomination for the latter, while all the others were represented at least last season.
The six-member committee represents the entire squad in internal matters, organises events within the team and serves as a point of contact for coaches, management and the executive committee.
