Lennart Grill Loaned to Osnabrück
Stopper to Gain More Match Practice
Lennart Grill is leaving 1. FC Union Berlin to join 2. Bundesliga side VfL Osnabrück on loan for the 2023/24 season.
Number two for Union's most successful season so far
The 24-year-old Grill came to Köpenick from Bayer 04 Leverkusen last summer and - following his initial loan - the seven-time German U-21 international was signed permanently in March. Union will continue to count on the goalkeeper's further development - albeit for now in the jersey of VfL Osnabrück. After eight appearances for head coach Urs Fischer's team over the course of the 2022/23 season, Lennart Grill will join the recently promoted side from Lower Saxony for one year.
"Lennart has the opportunity to gain match practice in Osnabrück and to show what he can do there," said Union's managing director of men's professional football, Oliver Ruhnert. "We will monitor his development and wish him every success for the season."
