A first season of short bursts

Following his move to Berlin last summer, the Nuremberg native had an occasionally challenging first year. Though he had made 25 appearances by the end of a hugely successful season for Union, most of them were as a substitute.

There were of course highlights for Jamie; his late assist for Danilho Doekhi's goal in the 2-1 home win against Borussia Mönchengladbach and his debut goal against TSG Hoffenheim in a 3-1 win, amongst others.

The ten-time Germany U-21 international also featured in European competition with Union, ending up with seven UEFA Europa League appearances.

View on the loan

"The move to Stuttgart offers Jamie a new challenge, and to be able to realise his desire for more playing time in the Bundesliga. We wish him every success," commented Oliver Ruhnert, Union's managing director of professional football, on the loan deal.
