András Schäfer Banned for Two Matches

The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) has handed Union midfielder András Schäfer a two-match ban from the Bundesliga.

The sports court of the German Football Association (DFB) has handed Union midfielder András Schäfer a two-match ban from the Bundesliga.

The Hungarian was sent off in the 69th minute of the away game at VfB Stuttgart after a foul on opponent Josha Vagnoman. The Stuttgart defender was able to continue playing.

1. FC Union Berlin and András Schäfer have agreed to the decision, which is therefore legally binding.
