1. FC Union Berlin must once again do without the services of midfielder András Schäfer until further notice.

After sustaining an injury to his foot in November, Schäfer returned to the pitch at the end of January against SV Werder Bremen. He was then forced to taken another break following the derby against Hertha BSC. Although no structural injuries were diagnosed at the time, Union’s team prescribed a longer rest period.

Following his promising comeback to the starting eleven against SC Freiburg last weekend, it has now become apparent that the Hungarian will have to take another break.

The 24-year-old will therefore not be available to head coach Urs Fischer for the last two games of the season against TSG Hoffenheim and SV Werder Bremen.
