After a successful 2024, Union’s women's team went into the winter break last Sunday with three points in the bag following the away win over FSV Gütersloh. Ailien Poese’s side will now spend the festive period with their loved ones, recharging their batteries for the second half of the season.

On Tuesday, 7 January 2025, they will resume training and preparations for the second half of the season. Three days later, they will leave for a training camp in Oliva Nova, Spain. The training camp is supported by Union's long-standing partner sonnenschutz.de. While there, a friendly against the currently fourth-placed Bundesliga team Bayern 04 Leverkusen is scheduled for Saturday, 18 January 2025, before the team return to Berlin the following day.

Back in Berlin, Union’s players, themselves currently in second place in the 2. Bundesliga, will prepare for the second half of the season with two more friendlies. On Sunday, 26 January 2025, the team will face a side they last met in the summer, Pogoń Szczecin. A week later, they will face FC Schlieren in the final match before the start of the second half of the season. The Swiss club are currently third in the Nationalliga B, the second-highest division in Switzerland.

On Sunday, 9 February 2025, Union will start the second half of the 2. Liga season when they travel to play Hamburger SV. Kick off is at 14:00.
