1. FC Union Berlin's women's team have been drawn by Berlin's football association (BFV) to play against city rivals Türkiyemspor in the last 16 of the Polytan cup. 

The game will take place on Thursday, 16.11.2023 at 19:30, though the venue has not yet been determined. Union qualified through the 1st main round of the Berlin State Cup without a fight, as TSV Mariendorf 1897 did not play.

"Due to the cancelled match in the 1st round, I am now happy that things are finally starting for us," said Jennifer Zietz, director of women's and girls football at Union. "The game against Türkiyemspor is a crisp start to the cup competition and an evening game in midweek to boot. We have to prepare with concentration, as we do for every game this season, and do our homework. I hope for an exciting cup evening and a win for our team!"

Just four days before the Polytan Cup clash, the two clubs will face each other in the 10th matchday of the Regionalliga Nordost.
