The women's first team of 1. FC Union Berlin will have to do without Sarah Abu Sabbah for a while.

Last season's top scorer injured herself during the away game at SC Sand when scoring the second goal in Union's 2-0 win. Following a cross, she had got in front of SCS goalkeeper Jule Baum and was brought down. Injured, a few minutes later, the 24-year-old had to be substituted. After a successful operation, she will be out of action for the time being.
