Union will face Pafos and Udine

Further opponents during Union's training camp in Austria have been confirmed. 1. FC Union Berlin will face the Cypriot first division team Pafos FC on Friday, 28.07.2023 at 16:00 and one day later, on Saturday, 29.07.202 at 15:30 against the Italian first division team Udinese Calcio.

Pafos FC

The Eisernen will play their match against last year's fourth-placed team in the Protathlima Cyta at the Saalfelden Arena in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer, Austria.

The club, which was formed in 2014 from the predecessor clubs AEK Kouklia and AE Paphos, are the first club from the Mediterranean island that Union will meet. Currently coached by Spaniard Juan Carlos Carcedo, Pafos FC have improved a lot in recent seasons, climbing steadily in the final tables from 10th to the before mentioned 4th place.

Udinese Calcio

As in the previous season, Urs Fischer's team will face Udinese Calcio in the Dolomitenstadion in Lienz.

The comparison between the two first division teams at the time ended in a high-scoring 3-3 draw, in which Union came back from 0-2 down and later from a 2-3 deficit. After a strong start to the season with seven wins in a row, the northern Italian side slumped to mid-table in Serie A, especially in the second half of the season. As in the previous year, Udinese finished 12th in the table.
