1. FC Union Berlin will open the 2020/21 season with an away friendly at Energie Cottbus.

Urs Fischer's side will head to the Stadion der Freundschaft in Cottbus on Saturday August 8 with kick-off planned for 15:00 local time.

In line with the current COVID-19 restrictions for the state of Brandenburg, the match can be played in front of 1,000 spectators. As part of Energie Cottbus' hygiene plan, pre-sale tickets will be made available exclusively to their club's members.
