Union squad returns to pre-season at the Alte Försterei
And so it begins:
This morning, 1. FC Union Berlin's preparations for the new Bundesliga season started as the players returned to the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
Given the COVID-19 restrictions in place, the squad arrived for training on their own and went out on to the training pitches in small groups.
Urs Fischer's side underwent health checks before going out on to the grass under the watchful eye of fitness coach Martin Krüger.
After two negative tests, the team will come together as a group on Thursday to train before heading off to Bad Saarow for the first training camp of pre-season.
