Union sign Milos Pantovic
Arrival from Bochum:
1. FC Union Berlin have signed 25-year-old attacking midfielder Milos Pantovic from Bundesliga rivals VfL Bochum.
The Munich-born attacker completes the switch to the Stadion An der Alten Försterei following a successful period at Bochum where he scored 13 goals and assisted 14. Pantovic put his name in Bochum Bundesliga history last season with two sensational goals against Hoffenheim and Freiburg to help Thomas Reis' men towards eventual survival. The Serbian youth national team player featured in Bayern's reserves before his transfer to Bochum in 2018. After scoring eight goals last season – including four in the German Cup – the 25-year-old continues his career in Berlin.
"Union has developed incredibly over the past few years with continuity and team spirit. I'm proud and at the same time grateful that I can now also contribute to this development and am very much looking forward to the coming season," said Pantovic.
"Milos comes with Bundesliga experience, is highly motivated and in his prime as a footballer. In addition, he has proven his flexibility in attack in both the first and second Bundesliga. We are pleased that he has decided to join us," added Oliver Ruhnert, 1. FC Union Berlin's Managing Director for Professional Football.
