The Köpenick legends ran out 4-1 winners against Tennis Borussia Berlin in the final match. Goalkeeper Oskar Kosche joined the squad for the second day's action but stayed as a reserve. Christian Stuff scored a wonderful volley after two minutes to set Union on their way. Torsten Mattuschka and Karim Benyamina combined to score the second after 16 minutes before Björn Brunemann made it three, a minute later. Tennis Borussia pulled one back in the final minutes but Benyamina restored the three-goal advantage at the death.

Unfortunately for the Union supporters in the Max-Schmelling-Halle, Werder Bremen ran out 3-1 winners over Hertha and sealed their place in the last four of the competition.
