Union host St. Pauli in DFB Pokal

1. FC Union Berlin and FC St. Pauli will go head-to-head on Tuesday at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei for a place in the semi-final of the DFB Pokal.

A contest in the last four of the German Cup would be Union's first progression to the stage since the team reached the final in 2001.

Review — The last match:

1. FC Union Berlin ended a run of three in the Bundesliga without a goal or point, defeating Mainz at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei 3-1. Genki Haraguchi scored after seven minutes to give Union the perfect start on home soil. Sheraldo Becker whipped in a spectacular goal from distance after 55 minutes to put Union in full control. Becker supplied an assist for substitute Taiwo Awoniyi to put home the third and the Nigerian to take his tally into double figures for the season so far. Delano Burgzog came off the bench to score a consolation for the Carnival Club in stoppage time.

St. Pauli — Opposition Report:

FC St. Pauli are fighting at the moment to return to the Bundesliga after 10 years in the second division. The team from Hamburg are third in the table, one point off Werder Bremen who sit at the top of the table. With Darmstadt, Schalke, Hamburg and Heidenheim also vying to finish in the top three, it will be an exciting end to the season for St. Pauli. Timo Schultz's men beat Borussia Dotmund 2-1 at the Milerntor to set up the chance to come to Köpenick. St. Pauli have never won the German Cup and their best performance was a semi-final clash with FC Bayern in 2006.

St. Pauli — The coach's view:

Fischer: "They are competing for promotion and doing well in the cup, beating Dortmund not undeservedly. Always looking for solutions. Very intensive running. A really difficult game."

Personnel:

Keita Endo, Andras Schäfer and Laurenz Dehl are unavailable for selection tomorrow. Endo needs more time to recover, while Schäfer is "on a good way" according to Fischer. There is a hope that the Hungarian can train with the squad again this week.

Service:

There are no more tickets left for the match. A maximum capacity of 10,000 will be allowed with 900 tickets for the visitors.
