Union found new management department

1. FC Union Berlin are expanding their management team, with Pierre Lüttge now responsible for the newly established "Organisation and Administration" department.

In his new role the 39-year-old Pierre Lüttger will take over the management of the event organisation, security and fan support departments, which previously reported directly to the presidium.

The new division will also be responsible for the organisational management and coordination of the club's temporary projects that are outside of regular match day operations and are directly related to planned infrastructure measures such as the stadium expansion, for example.

Lüttge has been a member of the Union team since 2007. While completing his bachelor's degree in sports management, he passed through several departments at the club and took on the position of assistant to the management after his studies. Most recently, he was head of stadium organisation.

"There are tasks and projects ahead of us in the next few years that will challenge us as an organisation. Therefore, as a club, we want to get ourselves in the best possible position to continue developing our structures and processes.”

“Pierre Lüttge is one of the most experienced employees at the club,” said Union President, Dirk Zingler, on his new appointment, “and we are very pleased that with his expertise he is taking over responsibility for the organisation and administration department.”
