Union begin summer trip with Neubrandenburg friendly

Following the 1-0 win at Dynamo Dresden on Sunday, 1. FC Union Berlin are back on the road for the start of some local friendlies before winding down for the summer break. Andre Hofschneider's team head to SV HANSE Neubrandenburg 01 on Wednesday May 16 with kick off at 18:30pm.

SV HANSE Neubrandenburg - a young club with a heart

The club from the region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern was founded on April 10, 2001. A group of passionate and determined amateur players, who played as team-mates in the 1990s, decided to start the journey from scratch. Neubrandenburg's rise has been impressive since 2001 with a bunch of promotions to take the club from the 11th tier to the seventh. With four games left in the season, HANSE Neubrandenburg are top of the division. The league's second-placed side, made up of younger players, also beloongs to the club.
