1. FC Union Berlin won for the second time in 24 hours, scoring three times to see off Regionalliga outfit Union Fürstenwalde at the Bonava-Arena. Eroll Zejnuhallu scored early on for Urs Fischer's side before Akaki Gogia and Philipp Hosiner netted in the second half.

Union started the game with verve and zip and took the lead after two minutes. Gogia was the creator, setting up for midfielder Zejnuhallu to comfortably stroke the ball beyond Büchel. Fischer's side continued on the hunt for a second goal in Fürstenwalde with Cihan Kahraman and Hosiner coming close before the midway point of the half. Andor Bolyki equalised for the home side from the penalty spot on 35 minutes after Benjamin Pratsler was brought down inside the box. Lukas Stagge almost turned the game on its head at the interval but young keeper Lennart Moser stood up well.

Fischer's side came out of the break strongly, scoring on 53 minutes through Gogia. Moser impressed for a spell before a bunch of changes at the hour mark, making a handful of saves to keep the Köpenick club in front. A mistake in the home side's defence allowed Hosiner the chance to go through and put Union Berlin into a 3-1 lead on 62 minutes. Several subs followed which took a sting out of proceedings, but there was late encouragement as Joshua Mees came close with a header. Gogia had a chance to add another to his tally from the penalty spot, but the attacker struck against the woodwork.

Tomorrow, the squad will undertake two training sessions (10am and 3pm) on the training pitches at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei before they leave for a 10-day training camp in Klosterpforte.
