Winter Schedule for the Men’s First Team
After yesterday's game away at SV Werder Bremen, which marked the last fixture of 2024, the men’s first team squad of 1. FC Union Berlin can use the holidays and the turn of the year to spend a few days off with family and friends. The goal is to recharge their batteries and start the second half of the season fresh.
Training will resume on the pitches at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei as early as 2 January 2025, in preparation for the challenges ahead. The team will start preparing for the challenges of the new year with their first training session on 2 January 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Alte Försterei. The pre-season will kick off with a friendly against Bundesliga club Kieler SV Holstein at 13:00 on Sunday, 5 January 2025 at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.
Tickets for the friendly against the Störche can be purchased online from the Union store from 13:00. tomorrow, Monday, Advance tickets for standing room are available at a price of €8* and for seats at €15*. Children up to the age of 12 have free admission but require a corresponding free ticket** for both standing and seated areas.
Just a few days later, the Bundesliga kicks off an intensive week in the new year. On Saturday, 11 January 2025, Union will be in action away at 1. FC Heidenheim. This will be followed by a home game against FC Augsburg on Wednesday, 15 January 2025, which will also mark the end of the first half of the season. The second half of the season then kicks off on Sunday, 19 January 2025, with a home game against 1. FSV Mainz 05.
