Union in Austria:
Following a short trip this afternoon, 1. FC Union Berlin have arrived at the summer training camp in Neukirchen am Großvenediger. Three players were missing from the otherwise 30 personnel heading to Austria.
Through Salzburg
Union left the Stadion An der Alten Försterei this morning for the short trip to Berlin Airport. The plane took off at around 11:45 and there followed a two-hour journey from Salzburg to Neukirchen am Großvenediger.
András Schäfer was unable to fly to Austria with the team today for personal reasons, he will join them tomorrow. Kevin Möhwald was also absent due to illness and is also expected to join the team in the next few days. Fabio Schneider continues to complete his rehabilitation program in Berlin after injury and can therefore not participate in the training camp.
Relaxed on Day 1
It was an easy start to life in Austria, the first of a 10-day camp. To start, there was a short training session in the afternoon in the form of a run, the end of the day's program is then the joint dinner. Tomorrow, the players will complete their first training session at 10:30 a.m. on the pitches of USC Neukirchen.
The summer training camp will be presented by sonnenschutz.de again this year.
