September will see the first international break of the current season, with many countries involved in either qualifying for the European Championships or the African Cup of Nations, or playing friendlies. From the ranks of 1. FC Union Berlin, eight players and a coach have been nominated for international duties.

The Nominees

Robin Gosens is the first player from 1. FC Union Berlin to be called up to a unified German national team, with the left-back travelling for two friendly matches with the DFB team. Hansi Flick's side will first face Japan in Wolfsburg, followed three days later by a match against France in Dortmund.
