Next pre-season test at Erzgebirge Aue

1. FC Union Berlin are back from Austria and will prepare for Bundesliga action against 2.Bundesliga side FC Erzgebirge Aue at the Erzgebirgsstadion on Saturday July 20 at 16:00.

Review: Four games, Four Wins

Urs Fischer's new-look squad have made fine strides during pre-season ahead of the league campaign on August 18. A fortnight ago, the Köpenick club officially opened the season at the Alte Försterei against Brondby with Sebastian Polter and Joshua Mees scoring in a 2-1 victory.

The 10-day camp in Upper Austria was a success with three games and three wins. Last Friday, Grischa Prömel's double helped fire Union to a win over SV Ried before a 3-0 dispatch of Blau-Weiss Linz, 24 hours later.

The final game of the trip in Austria was the 125th anniversary match of First Vienna FC, Austria's oldest football club. Union ran out 4-1 winners with two goals for Marius Bülter.

Record: Mixed results with Aue

Aue won't be a destination for Union fans next season following our promotion to the Bundesliga. From 2009, the start of our decade-long unbroken streak in the second division, the club endured ups and downs against the eastern club. Last season, Felix Kroos' free-kick fired Union to three points at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei on the opening week of the league season. However, Daniel Meyer's team ended Union's unbeaten Hinrunde with a 3-0 win in December.
