Lennart Moser signs for Cercle Brugge
Goalkeeper off to Belgium:
1. FC Union Berlin and Belgian side Cercle Brugge have agreed a loan deal until the end of the season and purchase option for 20-year-old goalkeeper Lennart Moser.
A graduate of Union's academy, Moser has spent the first six months of this season on loan at Regionalliga outfit Energie Cottbus. The goalkeeper made 18 appearances, including in Cottbus' DFB Pokal meeting with Bayern Munich. The existing loan deal will be terminated by mutual agreement.
"For Lennart, the move to Brugge is a great opportunity to show his ability in the top division. In the last six months, he has played regularly at Cottbus and has steadily improved. This positive development should now be continued at Cercle Brugge. We'd like to thank those responsible at Energie Cottbus, who have not put any obstacles in Lennart's way despite his high sporting value, and who are continuing his development with a Belgian first division club," said Oliver Ruhnert, the Director of Professional Football at 1. FC Union Berlin.
