Last day of pre-season camp
Final two sessions:
1. FC Union Berlin's first-team squad brought the curtain down on the second pre-season training camp of the summer in Bad Wörishofen. Urs Fischer's side underwent two final sessions on Monday to conclude a worthwhile time away ahead of the new Bundesliga season.
Monday's session, which followed the usual team breakfast, started with injury prevention exercises. The coaching team took the players on to the field and worked on various passing drills.
After lunch, the team headed out of Bad Wörishofen to Mindelheim – about 10km away – for the final session of the camp. At the Julius Strohmeyer Stadion, Fischer's players worked on cardio and a number of game-like situations which were practiced in 11-v-11 formats. The players were split in the afternoon with some working on in-game pressing moments and the others worked with athletic coach Martin Krüger.
Tomorrow, the team returns for Berlin for the next leg of pre-season training.
