Kenny Prince Redondo leaves for Greuther Fürth

Kenny Prince Redondo has left 1. FC Union Berlin and joined Greuther Fürth with immediate effect, subject to a medical.

The 24-year-old winger joined the Berlin club from Unterhaching and played 73 times for the Köpenick club. His new club in Fürth sits 11th in the 2.Bundesliga table.

"I'm pleased that the club has accepted my wish to change club and I'm very grateful to those responsible. I had a great time at Union and have continued to develop both on the park and personally over the past few years. Nevertheless, I would now like to take a new step to get more playing time in the future. Many thanks to all the Union fans who have supported me in recent years. I wish you and the club all the best and a successful season," said Redondo.

"Kenny is a young player, who would like to have more playing time. Even though he has played an important role for us, we want to fulfil the player's wishes and we wish him all the best for his personal and sporting future," said Oliver Ruhnert, the club's sporting director.

Redondo has switched for an undisclosed transfer fee.
