1. FC Union Berlin and Philipp Hosiner are likely to end their association over the next couple of days as the Austrian striker undergoes at a medical at a new club.

After joining in July 2016, Hosiner appeared in 47 competitive games for the club - 44 in the 2.Bundesliga and three in the DFB Pokal. In that time, he scored eight goals and assisted three in Berlin-Köpenick. The former Austrian international has previous spells at 1. FC Köln, Rennes, Austria Vienna and Admira Wacker in his home country.

Hosiner has already given his wishes to the team and said his goodbyes before leaving the Klosterpforte base this afternoon.
