1. FC Union Berlin will take on Lichtenberg 47 as Urs Fischer's side bring pre-season preparations to a close on Monday August 12. The match will be played at the HOWOGE-Arena "Hans Zoschke" with a 17:30 start scheduled.

Founded in April 1947, SV Lichtenberg 47 was set up as a multi-sport organisation. In addition to their football operations, Lichtenberg also offer table tennis, boxing and bowling as opportunities to compete. In the GDR, the club celebrated a number of successes, including a season in the former East German top division.

In recent times, Lichtenberg are on the up. Last season, the club was promoted to Germany's fourth division, the Regionalliga Nordost.
