Fischer's team to face Holstein Kiel

1. FC Union Berlin will play a home friendly during the international break against Holstein Kiel on Wednesday November 13 at 17:30.

Season Review: Union in good form, Kiel mid-table

Urs Fischer's team have continued their good run of form in recent weeks, securing the club's first-ever away win in the Bundesliga on Saturday at Mainz. Sebastian Andersson, who will join up with the Swedish national team this week, scored two goals after Daniel Brosinski's own goal gave the Köpenick club the lead. Union are 11th in the Bundesliga with 13 points after 11 games and a DFB Pokal Last 16 match to look forward to in February against SC Verl.

Meanwhile, Holstein Kiel's fortunes have been fairly mixed so far. Our cup opponents Verl knocked Kiel out of the German Cup on penalties last month, while the league form hasn't been so impressive. Andre Schubert was given the keys to the job following Tim Walter's move to VfB Stuttgart, but former Borussia Mönchengladbach coach was relieved from his job early on.
