Urs Fischer will take his team to fourth-tier Energie Cottbus on Saturday afternoon as the Köpenick club progress in their preparations for the new Bundesliga season, which starts in September.

Due to restrictions on mass gatherings in Brandenburg and nationwide, under 1,000 supporters can be present at the Stadion der Freundschaft in Cottbus. However, RBB, the regional public broadcaster of Berlin and Brandenburg, will broadcast the 90 minutes from 15:00 on Saturday. Fans will get the chance to see Union in their new home shirt and catch a glimpse of the new faces at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei this season. 

"We've got a lot of new faces in the squad and we'll use the game to try out a few things. Cottbus are an ambitious opponent who just missed out on the play-off last season. It's a really young side who give everything to score goals," said head coach Urs Fischer about Saturday's game.
