Day 8: Sleep, Football Tennis, World Cup
Training Diary:
With Saturday night handed over to the players, head coach Urs Fischer offered a team breakfast on a voluntary basis. Most players, though, used the opportunity to get some hours with their head on the pillow in Klosterpforte.
The players gathered for lunch and sang Happy Birthday to Swedish striker Sebastian Andersson, who turned 27 on Sunday. Of course there's also a birthday take for the Swede who gave a few words to us on AFTV. Click here to watch the video via our Twitter channel.
Shortly after 3pm, Martin Krüger led another running and stretching session on the pitch. The boys got down to competitive action with a game of football tennis. Unsurprisingly, the game turned competitive quite quickly with assistant coach Sebastian Bönig the stand out performer in the four-vs-four tournament.
The eighth day of the training camp ended with a "video analysis" of the World Cup final between France and Croatia.
