1. FC Union Berlin captain Christopher Trimmel has been included in the matchday squad for Saturday's Bundesliga match at Hoffenheim. 

On Friday, the Deutsche-Fußball-Liga (DFL) handed out fines against the club and two players, Trimmel and Sheraldo Becker, following violations of the Bundesliga's hygiene plan. 

After Tuesday's 1-0 win over Paderborn, which secured the club's Bundesliga status, players and supporters celebrated together near the stadium. 

In consultation with the DFL, both Trimmel and Becker were tested on Thursday and Friday for COVID-19. Both test results returned as negative and as a result, they are eligible to play with immediate effect.

The club and both players accept the punishments from the DFL.
