Season Opener 22/23:

Bohemians are first visitors to Berlin

1. FC Union Berlin's traditional season opener at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei will take place on Saturday July 9 against Irish side Bohemians.

1. FC Union Berlin's traditional season opener at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei will take place on Saturday July 9 against Irish side Bohemians.

Urs Fischer's men will return to Berlin after the summer break and look forward to competing on three fronts next season including the UEFA Europa League.

The Dublin-based side, who are sixth in the League of Ireland, competed in this season's UEFA Europa Conference League, losing out in Qualifying Round 3 against PAOK Salonika.

Facts about Bohemians:

  • Red and black are the colours of the Dublin-based club.

  • The Bohs were founded 131 years ago and are 100% fan-owned.

  • Dalymount Park has been the spiritual home of Bohs since 1901.

  • Bob Marley's last outdoor concert took place at Dalymount Park in 1980 — the club honoured the Reggae star with a Marley-inspired away kit this year.
