1. FC Union Berlin sign Marius Bülter

1. FC Union Berlin have triggered the option in Marius Bülter's loan deal from 1. FC Magdeburg to make the deal permanent beyond the end of the 2019/20 season.

The 27-year-old has made a huge impression on the Köpenick club during his first season with Union. In his first Bundesliga season, he has scored seven goals – including the memorable double against Borussia Dortmund.

"The move to Union last summer was exactly the right one. I was given a great reception by the team and immediately felt at home with this special club. For me personally, it's been an incredible first year in the Bundesliga, in which I was able to gain a lot of new experience and contribute to the good results so far this season. In the next few weeks, I will do everything I can to keep up us in the league together with my team-mates so that I can play in the Bundesliga again in the new season," said the attacker.

"Marius has impressed this season and exceeded the expectations we had when we signed him. He is a physically strong player who is committed to the team, but also shows his individual quality time and again. I'm sure that Marius will continue to play an important role in our team in the future and I'm looking forward to working with him in the future," said Oliver Ruhnert, Director of Professional Football at 1. FC Union Berlin.

Bülter's contract is valid for both Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga competition.
