Since 2011, the weekly magazine Fußball-Woche and the Berlin Football Federation have celebrated the best player (male and female) in Berlin.

Overall, 32 people have been nominated in the awards which stretch from amateur football players, coaches and professional players.

Three Union players make up the nominees for the men’s award – Christopher Trimmel, Steven Skrzybski and Michael Parensen.

In the female category, two of our first-team players have been nominated. Lisa Heiseler and Josephine Bonsu helped Union win the Regionalliga Nordost in the normal campaign and qualify for the promotion play-off round, where our team eventually lost to FFC Magdeburg.

It’s free to cast your vote online and the contest runs until Sunday June 17, 2018 at midnight. Several prizes will be awarded to participants who are drawn at random, including five season tickets for Union Berlin home matches.
