Union stands for humanity and tolerance

The club was made aware of a disgusting anti-semitic tweet following Friday's 2-0 win over Ingolstadt at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Ingolstadt's midfielder Almog Cohen was insulted for his background.

1. FC Union Berlin filed a complaint about this insult immediately to the authorities.

There are sometimes reports of cases of racist insults in the stands at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, but they are rarely reported to the authorities and brought to justice.

"I'm ashamed of such Union fans. We will do everything we can to isolate them and prosecute them. Union stands for humanist and democratic values. Anyone who does not share these values has no place in our club or in our stadium," said Union President Dirk Zingler. "We must resolutely take up the fight against the brutalisation of our society and lead it consistently, even within our own ranks."

1. FC Union Berlin ask all Union fans for support in the fight against any kind of discrimination.
