1. FC Union Berlin have been wearing three-striped trainers since the summer of 2019. Today, 1. FC Union Berlin and Adidas present a jointly-designed sneaker design for the first time: the limited edition ZX 8000 Union. The ZX design has been on sale since 1989 and is one of Adidas' most popular products.

The ZX design features the traditional Union Berlin club colours, red and white. Both yellow and black are secondary colours as featured on the club logo, but there is also some green to pay homage to the club's stadium at the Alte Försterei. The laces feature small Union logos, which are made out of real iron from southeast Berlin, the club's home. 

The shoe's legendary silhouette is designed in the club's traditional colors: red and white, plus - as in the Union logo - a dash of yellow and a bit of black. The green design elements are a small homage to the many greenery around the stadium An der Alten Försterei. The small clips on the shoelaces, called Lace-Jewels, are decorated with the Union logo and are made of real iron forged in Southeast Berlin. The tongue of the shoe is designed with the logo, as well as, the unique badge of the ZX range.

With a limited number of pairs are available — just 1,966 — you can only get your hands on the special Union sneakers through the Adidas raffle. It's the luck of the draw!
