1. FC Union Berlin will kick off the 2020/21 Bundesliga campaign against Augsburg at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Ahead of the opening day on Saturday September 19, the club is happy to announce the offer of season tickets for games.

With a series of restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic, this year's season ticket also counts as a voucher for our club store (Union-Zeughaus). If season ticket holders are denied entry to home matches due to COVID-19 restrictions or miss out on tickets through the ballot, then the corresponding amount which is not used for tickets will be made available as a voucher for the store at the end of the campaign.

According to the current Infection Protection Regulations for Berlin, open-air events are restricted to a maximum of 5,000 people until October 24. Union will exploit this legal framework and the club continues to work on control measures that will allow policy makers the opportunity to gradually increase these capacity restrictions.

Taking into consideration the capacity limitations, match tickets will be allocated in a ballot of season ticket holders. Season tickets will go on sale for the 2020/21 Bundesliga season on Friday September 4 and this period will run until Thursday September 10. Club members, who held a season ticket last season, can secure their tickets for the new campaign.

"The desire for season tickets for this season has been there for weeks now, and with that come a desire to support the club, regardless of how many matches you actually get to see. We're extremely grateful for this," said Dirk Zingler, 1. FC Union Berlin's Club President. "We wanted to make sure that supporters who purchase a season ticket are getting fair value for their money, even if it's foreseeable that they won't be able to attend every match. By combining the season ticket and Zeughaus, we've created such an offer. Supporters who still do not wish to extend their current season ticket will still retain the right of first refusal for the 2021/22 season."

The prices of season tickets and individual tickets are frozen from last season.

Members who had a season ticket last season can use their right of first refusal. The extension can only be completed online as to avoid queues at the stores. The season ticket will be sent by the registered e-mail.

Season tickets which are not extended from last season will be available as individual game tickets so long as the restrictions allow for fans in the stadium.
