 Season ticket sales started

The sale of season tickets for 1. FC Union Berlin’s home matches in the group phase of the Champions League started today, Thursday, 10.08.23, at 12:00. In the first sales phase, which runs until Wednesday 23.08, Union members have exclusive access to the tickets and can buy tickets for up to three other people.

This is how the first day of sales went

The number of hits on the ticket shop in the Union-Zeughaus rose steadily from the early hours of the morning and reached its peak at the start of sales at 12 noon. In the meantime, this number exceeded the club's current membership by several tens of thousands because many Unioners tried to access the ticket shop with several devices or browsers. The servers of the ticket service provider were unable to cope with this load despite a waiting page, so that additional security measures had to be taken for the shop at short notice in order to limit the number of simultaneous accesses and to guarantee the complete processing of active sales transactions.

Unfortunately, these security measures are currently being displayed to fans as error messages on numerous end devices. The ticket service provider is still working on a solution to this problem, as the load on the servers is still above average.

The statistics - Thursday, 10.08.23 at 18:00

  • Purchasers: 15,150
  • Season tickets sold: 27,225
  • Tickets per buyer: 1.8
