Rematch of FDGB Pokal against Carl Zeiss Jena

1. FC Union Berlin will line up for the first time in season 2018/19 against Carl Zeiss Jena to celebrate half a century since the club won the FDGB Pokal - the East German Cup. On Sunday July 1 at 2pm, Union will take on Jena at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

In 1968, the Köpenick side fought back against all the odds to win the FDGB Pokal against the club from Thüringen. The match is the centre-piece of our celebrations which will include the new home shirt for season 2018/19 and Saturday's anniversary of the match.

The club will publish a commemorative programme for the match and in which, there will be something to marvel about for our younger supporters.

After the game you can party until late into the night in the beer garden on Hämmerlingstrasse next to our youth academy building, with live music on site. More information on the schedule will follow shortly.
