On Sunday, 19 March 2023, 1. FC Union Berlin will host Eintracht Frankfurt at the stadion An der Alten Försterei. S-Bahn services will be interrupted between Karlshorst and Friedrichshagen this weekend, and replacement bus services will be provided.
On Sunday, 1. FC Union Berlin will operate additional shuttle buses in cooperation with S-Bahn Berlin GmbH to enable travel to the match. The buses will run between 12:00 and 15:30 before the match and between 17:00 and 19:00 after the match at six-minute intervals and without stopping between Karlshorst S-Bahn station and An der Wuhlheide.
The busses will board at Karlshorst S-Bahn station in Treskowallee (towards Schöneweide) behind the railway overpass. After the match, shuttle buses will be available at the temporary bus stop at An der Wuhlheide / Straße zum FEZ for departure in the direction of Karlshorst S-Bahn station.
For the journey to and from the match, all stadium visitors are asked to note the limited capacities of the shuttle bus service and to use alternative transport connections if possible. Alternatively, you can travel to Köpenick by underground line 5 via Elsterwerdaer Platz. From there, bus lines X69 and 169 serve Köpenick station. From S Mahlsdorf it is possible to take TRAM 62.
On match days, Hämmerlingstraße will continue to be closed in both directions between Am Bahndamm and Friedenstraße (railway bridge) for motor vehicle and bicycle traffic as well as for pedestrians.
Only very limited parking spaces are available around the stadium An der Alten Försterei. Despite the restrictions on public transport, travel to the stadium by car is not recommended. All visitors to the match are strongly advised to plan considerably more time for their journey in order to get to the stadium as stress-free and punctually as possible.
