Denmark's Aalborg come to the Stadion An der Alten Försterei
Baltic Sea Cup:
The "Baltic Sea Cup" continues tomorrow (Tuesday, 18/09) when Aalborg from Denmark come to Berlin to take on 1. FC Union Berlin and their specially-constructured U21 team. Kick off is at 12:00 and admission is free for all supporters.
The team, coached by first-team assistant Sebastian Bönig, is a combination of players from our U19 and U21 squads, as well as, three players from the first-team squad. Bönig is responsible within first-team affairs for creating the bridge between the professional team and the U19s, who are coached by Willi Weiße and secured a draw against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.
1. FC Union Berlin have already got off to winning ways in the competition, beating FC Copenhagen 2-1 a few weeks ago in the Danish capital. Swedish club Halmstads BK will play against the Köpenick club in Berlin on Wednesday October 3 at the same time.
