Chance to waive ticket refunds
Together Eisern:
It was decided last Thursday that the Bundesliga season will continue behind closed doors as a result of the outbreak of COVID-19. Starting with Sunday's visit of Bayern Munich, the remaining five matches at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei will be played without your support from the terraces.
What has marked the last few weeks has been the incredible commitment of the Union family to initiate and support aid projects for people and institutions in need. The club has also received numerous expressions of solidarity from various quarters. Since the appeal from Union's registered fan clubs was launched, there has been lots of talk of the willingness to support the club by waiving any ticket refunds.
As of now, every Union supporter can choose on their user profile at the Union-Zeughaus website whether they would like to waive ticket refunds in favour of the club. This is calculated at a proportional basis to the season ticket and then the full price for home and away matches. Each supporter will be informed about how this works by E-Mail.
Supporters who don't have an email address or access to the internet are asked to contact the Union-Zeughaus team directly.
The waiving of ticket refunds for matches at Hertha BSC and Borussia Mönchengladbach will also be of direct benefit to 1. FC Union Berlin as both clubs agreed that we would handle the return of away tickets. As such, the money from these sales will go directly to Union.
Supporters who wish to receive the full refund for tickets are asked to be patient and will receive all of the necessary information at the end of the league campaign to proceed with the refund.
