100 Years of Football at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei

100 Years of football at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

On March 7, 1920, SC Union Oberschöneweide played a competitive fixture the Sportpark Sadowa, the club's new home, against Viktoria 89.

On August 7, 1920, Union welcomed the newly-crowned German champions 1. FC Nürnberg for the official opening game of the new stadium.

A century on, 1. FC Union Berlin will commemorate that date with a special shirt against Bayern Munich on March 14, 2020. The shirt has been specifically produced by suppliers Marcon for this one-off Bundesliga match.

A historical map of Köpenick, our home district of Berlin, adorns the front and reverse side of the shirt. Our anniversary shirt has received special support from our two main partners. Instead of the usual Aroundtown logo, the "proAF" logo will be printed in the centre as a reminder of the long-term commitment and support from all Unioners to keep football at the Alte Försterei. Union's sleeve partner ONE Insurance have shown their support by changing the design to "100 Jahre Stadion An der Alten Försterei".

Just 1,920 shirts have been produced and they will be available for €89,95 for adults and €69,95 for children.

The limited edition shirts are available exclusively for club members from Saturday (today) at 19:20 / 7:20pm online. All members have the right of refusal up to and including March 10 at 20:20. There is a limit of two shirts per member. Subject to availability, the limited edition shirts will be available in a general sale from 20:20 on March 10.
