Union lose out to late Aalborg goal

1. FC Union Berlin went down 3-2 at home to Danish side Aalborg BK in the second match of the Baltic Sea Cup at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

After a goalless first half, the Danes took the lead on 47 minutes when Nicolai Laursen finished off powerfully inside the box.

Berkan Taz, who scored a free kick to secure a 3-3 draw against Grasshopper Zürich during the international break, notched up another set-piece goal, stirking home three minutes later. Tim Maciejewski scored to put Union ahead but Laursen added a second on 73 minutes before captain Anders Baerthelsen hooked the ball home for the winner with four minutes to play.
