Union lose 0-3 in Magdeburg
U19 Bundesliga:
1. FC Union Berlin suffered a 3-0 defeat at 1. FC Magdeburg in the U19 Bundesliga on Saturday.
Magdeburg went ahead after five minutes through Marvin Temp with Marc Plawa scoring the second goal six minutes later.
Union welcomed back Tillman Theurich after a 16-month injury lay-off and he was given some valuable minutes between the sticks.

Despite the defeat, Union guaranteed their Bundesliga status with other results in the league going in their favour on the penultimate matchday.
"We are happy that we've managed to stay in the league as a result of the scores today," said head coach Toni Mandl. "The boys have absolutely earned it with a lot of effort and discipline over the last few months."
