Union chase points in Halle
U19 Bundesliga:
1. FC Union Berlin will be looking to add some points to the board this weekend when the Köpenick club head for Hallescher FC in the U19 Bundesliga Nord/Nordost.
Saturday's game is a 13:00 kick-off.
After last season's impressive fourth-placed finish, Union have had to deal with new challenges. The opening day loss to Hannover was followed up by a DFB Pokal defeat to Fortna Düsseldorf (0:3) at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Andre Vilk's team used the international break last week to gain much-needed confidence, picking up a 3-1 win over 1. FC Köln. "We certainly didn't get off to a perfect start in the new season, but the mood in the team is now positive and confident. The win in Cologne strengthens the self-confidence ahead of the game," said the Union U19 coach.
Meanwhile, Halle have three points from two matches. The club from Sachsen-Anhalt thrashed Viktoria Berlin in their first league outing this season (4-0) but went down to rivals Dynamo Dresden (0-2).
