Union at home on German Unity Day

1. FC Union Berlin will play their last home match of the Baltic Sea Cup at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei on Wednesday October 3 (German Unity Day) at 12:00 against Swedish side Halmstads BK.

The squad composition for the Baltic Sea Cup is made up of players from the U19 and U21 groups, as well as, three players from the first-team. The main purpose of the competition is to expose young players to high-level international competition. Union's assistant coach Sebastian Bönig is the head coach with help from U19 coach Willi Weiße and first-team goalkeeper coach Michael Gspurning.

In the first match of the Baltic Sea Cup, the Berliners won 2-1 at Danish giants FC Copenhagen. Two weeks ago, Union went down 3-2 to Aalborg at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. Our upcoming opponent Halmstads recently ran out winners against Hertha BSC.

Stadium gates open at 11am on Wednesday October 3 with admission free for all supporters. Parking facilities are available in front of the main stand for 4EUR per vehicle.
