Baltic Sea Cup:
The second match of the Baltic Sea Cup takes 1. FC Union Berlin to Sweden for a match against Halmstads BK. Wednesday's encounter will kick-off at 11am.
Union fought back at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei, drawing 3-3 with FC Nordsjaelland.
1. FC Union Berlin will field a mixture of U19, U21s and three first-team players in the competition. Our first-team assistant coach Sebastian Bönig is responsible for the side, supported by Andre Hofschneider and Andre Vilk, the club's U19 head coach.
Union's remaining matches will see them face FC Copenhagen at home on November 26. In October, the Köpenick club will make the trip to Danish side Aalborg.
Background: The Baltic Sea Cup is an international competition, organised by the Danish Football Federation. Three teams from Denmark, who successfully qualified from their own U19 championship, will compete, alongside clubs from across Europe. In addition to 1. FC Union Berlin, Hertha BSC will represent Germany. Halmstads from Sweden and Pogon from Poland are also included. FC Nordsjaelland, Aalborg BK and FC Copenhagen will be representing the host country.
