Union Berlin welcome Hamburg
U19 Bundesliga:
1. FC Union Berlin will take on Hamburg in the U19 Bundesliga on Sunday September 30 at 11am at the FEZ-Berlin.
The Köpenick club is out to bounce back from a heavy defeat in Leipzig with a home win to add to their eight points already on the board. Head coach Willi Weiße says the number of mistakes was too high to consider getting a positive result in Leipzig.
However, there were plenty of positive notes from the U19s' recent home games. A 2-0 win over Hannover 96 was followed up by a 3-3 draw against Hertha BSC, the German champions last season. Four points from two games were deserved as a result of some focused, consistent performances.
Meanwhile, Hamburg have started this season well with three wins from their last three games. They are fourth in the table and will be looking to make up for missing out on their regional championship last term.
Sunday is a double matchday for Union's youth teams at the FEZ-Berlin. The U19s start at 11am while the U17s take on Hamburg at 2pm. Admission is free for all supporters.
