1. FC Union Berlin's under-19 squad will start their 2020/21 Bundesliga Nord-Nordost season away to FC St. Pauli on September 19 at 14:00.

Andre Vilk's men finished last season's campaign on 2,22 points per match after the campaign was suspended following the outbreak of coronavirus. Union won 12 from 18 matches and finished behind established Bundesliga clubs Werder Bremen, Hertha and Wolfsburg.

The team spent pre-season in Austria and started off well with victories against Lichtenberg 47 from the men's Regionalliga and Rot-Weiß Erfurt's youth side.

This season will see the campaign condensed due to the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic. The U19 squad will only play each team once, either home or away. After last season was cut short, there will 17 teams competing the league for 2020/21.
